Putting a science behind wellness, Dr. Achacoso discussed his concept of “Health Optimization Medicine (HOMe)” which is about measuring borderline deficiencies and subtle toxicities, for a customized nutrient approach to optimal health. On the other hand, Dr. Girman shared the importance of gut health for overall health, as well as advanced case studies featuring application of wellness diagnostics for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

“Each body has its optimal levels of bioactive agents like vitamins, minerals, nutrients and enzymes.  These can be measured through appropriate testing, so that any deficiencies and toxicities can be ‘balanced’ to help manage disease predisposition and improve overall health and well-being.” – Dr. Ted Achacoso, BioBalance Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder

“This is the basis for the Wellness Medicine Concept: that the Gut is a – if not the – Foundation of Health!” – Dr. Andrea Girman, Genova Diagnostics Director for Medical Education
